Question: I did not get any satisfaction at the meeting with Terry Wilson. Mr. Wilson told me that it was his job to determine the manner of death which was a contact gunshot wound to the head. It was the Sheriff’s Office’s job to determine the cause of death (suicide). He told me he would not “discuss” evidence. He told me the evidence he used was 1: the fact that most contact gunshot wounds to the head were the result of self infliction – suicide. 2: Ron Reynolds’ statement. 3: Statements from the Sheriff’s Department 4: The autopsy Report. He told me that he didn’t consider any of the experts’ reports because they were just “opinions” and his opinion was suicide.
I have filed for a judicial Review – An actual court date for the proceedings has not been set. I do expect without any doubt to have a Judicial Review. I was amazed at the amount of work Tracy Vedder of KOMO TV (ABC) put into the investigation. She left no stone unturned and I think she did a great job. I think she did an outstanding, unbiased story. She was honest, considerate and professional.
I think it is a poor choice on the part of Sheriff Mansfield to ignore Ronda’s case and not re-open it -- What else can I say? It appears to me it has just become “Politics as usual in Lewis County”. I am determined to continue working on Ronda’s case and will continue urging citizens to stand up for what they believe in – take part in their local elections and have a say in their local government. I don’t know how many experts it is going to take to convince Sheriff Mansfield to re-open Ronda’s case but we will continue to supply them and present them to the court and see what happens.

Their opinion of me won’t change the fact that Ronda is dead, the fact that she was murdered or the fact that neither the Sheriff, the prosecutor nor the Corner have been willing to sit down and explain to me or show me evidence that Ronda could have committed suicide. She is a wonderful young lady and she and Freeman make the cutest couple. I am so very happy for them. I knew the minute I met Jalyn that she was a special lady. It was an immediate "I really like this girl" for me. The weekend I met Jalyn we had friends from out of town visiting to help Freeman do some support work on the barn. It was quite an undertaking but they "got er done" and Jalyn was right there ready and willing to pitch in and help. On Ronda's case: We know now that Coroner Wilson did not have his attorney file an appeal to the Washington Supreme Court so now as I understand it Wilson has a statutory obligation to meet with me and show/explain to me the evidence he has/used to make his determination. And depending on the outcome of that meeting we take appropriate steps. We are just waiting for that meeting to be agreed upon by Coroner Wilson and his attorney.
