| Question: I just finished reading Ann Rule's book and one thought sticks with me. With all the options Rhonda explored for where to spend her last night before leaving to visit her family in Spokane (and the end of her marriage), it appears that she may have had a foreshadowing or intuition of what was to come. It appears she considered staying with friends Cheryl, David, Dan and his wife, and at a hotel. She also tried to get Ron's gun out of the house. She probably wasn't consciously aware of danger, but maybe her subconscious was trying to protect her. Of course, most women would feel safe in their own homes with their husband, even on the verge of a divorce, especially since her husband wanted the separation. I finished Ann's book on Rhonda last night. There are many thoughts going through my head and I wish to share them with you. First and foremost, Rhonda did not take her own life. I am willing to help in whatever way I can. As a mom of 5, and having only one daughter after having four sons, I can relate to your pain. Please email me at sixtimered@yahoo.com. I sincerely hope to hear from you. Asked on Thursday, January 26, 2012 at 07:29:36 AM | | | | Ronda Reynolds | | | | Question: I am appalled and angry at how Ronda's murder was handled and continues to be handled. From the time the first investigator stepped into that house to the very last to leave, ranging from misperceptions/ideas to improper procedures, things were obvisiously not handled as they should have been. However, after determining an 'undetermined' death with specific murder suspects involved should also warrant a fresh new investigation. This involves going back into the house, interviewing any and all involved, finding out who people have talked to (people talk; then and now)(sure its heresy but that's part of investigating), phone records of all in house and after the boys left the home, warrant to search any property of the accused(evidence could still remain), for starters. This re-investigating has been done in other murder cases, why not this one? There were several leads never followed up on, there has to be a gap left open that someone missed. Why didn't anyone follow up on the comment ' "She might have been there the night of her [Ronda's] death...." pertaining to the ex-wife? Thought the boys were sent to her house? Did she have a cell phone? Check towers. Ruled homicide, why does no one that was in that house know anything? Someone or all knows something. I plead with the investigators in this county to not stop until justice has prevailed... You didn't fail by making a mistake (we all make mistakes); you only fail when you quit before the end. God bless you Barb. Asked on Wednesday, January 25, 2012 at 07:05:42 PM | | | | volunteering/www.JusticeforRonda.com | | | | Question: I don\'t want to go into great detail on a public forum. I am also a mother of a daughter and I just happened to finish Ann Rule\'s book this morning, my daughter\'s 23rd birthday. I am physically disabled by a spinal cord disease. While my body is weak, my mind is sharp and I have nothing but time on my hands. I am also like a dog on meat when I set my mind to helping someone. Do you ever find yourself in need of volunteers? Someone to respond to correspondence, monitor the website, etc? I don\'t care how mundane the tasks are that need to be done, I would just be honored to be of use. I have been searching for something to fill my time that would be of service to someone, something I can do despite my physical limitations. If you have any interest, please email me at 1211Kathi@gmail.com.\r\n\r\nIf not, just let me say that your determination and spirit are a testimony to mothers everywhere. A mother\'s love knows no bounds and transcends death. Anyone can plainly see that this is an abominable example of poor investigatory procedure. May your dedication to justice bring you the answers you\'ve been searching for. Asked on Tuesday, January 24, 2012 at 06:50:47 PM | | | | Barbara Thompson | | | Question: Dear Barbara, my name is Sarah Barkley, and I just finished reading your story in Ann Rule's book. I am awed and humbled by the sheer courage you showed in remaining tenacious in the face of so much. That mountain is one I hope never to have to climb. I watched my 20 year old daughter when she didn't know I was watching (I think all of us mothers do this), and I was grateful for her and yet terrified of how fragile the moment is. None of us know how many times we can get the gift of getting to. But what you have been able to accomplish; well, it's inspiring to see you sling your rock at Goliath, and leave a major dent in his hide. If you ever have a moment when you are tired or overwhelmed, try to remember the impact you have had on a single mom way out on the other side of the country. You reminded me of not just how important it is to fight for our kids, but to never, ever do so. Thank you for that.

It is horrific what you had to endure and cannot imagine what Rhonda had to go thru. I am so sorry for your loss. The book was excellent and very precise which made it easy to follow.
Have they ever found Ron Reynolds or his son Jonathan? If they are hiding that ought to tell you something. I thought it was him right from the beginning. I am sure your consolation is that your mom and her are together again blessed in each others company and with the Lord.
I hate to bother you with this but had to let you know your and your friends suspicions are not alone. I hope you can put this to rest soon and just a suggestion but if Dateline could get hold of this story it might help spread the story for you and find these guys. Asked on Tuesday, January 10, 2012 at 01:35:30 PM | | | | God Bless....you are an inspiration | | | Question: Hi Barb,
I have just finished reading the Ann Rule book and much like many others who have posted heartfelt comments on this site, I too felt an overwhelming amount of sadness and emotion for your loss. I cant imagine how hard and painful it must have been to go through what you have gone through and most of all to push yourself to fight each and everyday. They say, that nothing is stronger than a mothers love, and that must be true because you have sacrificed everything to find the truth about what happened the night you lost Ronda. Barb, for that I admire you and must applaud you for being so strong willed. You truly are an in inspiration to all mothers who have lost a child at the hands of someone else.
Just know you have an angel smiling down at you.
Barb, God bless you and all those who stayed by your side in your time of grief.
Also, please check if the Vidocq Society is willing to take on this case (if you havent already)

The best thing is not to "rush to judgement" on the suspected killers because the worst thing would be an acquittal then they could never be re-tried. Never give up! This was not a suicide. Asked on Thursday, December 29, 2011 at 10:38:34 AM | | | | Justice for Ronds | | | Question: This year brought MUCH information in Ann Rule's Book, and a new court for an inquest into Ronda's death...and a resounding verdict of HOMICIDE,,,AGAIN!!
But still not enough to try the killers and put them behind bars. We are still praying for complete justice and truth.
Another year...how many more? We are hoping that the truth will be told in a way that there is NO DOUBT in anyone's mind...not that there is much doubt anywhere.
So...onto the New Year.....Blessings to all of Barb's friends and family...
