One more thing...

Question: As most people who have followed this case knows, I have had some profound differences with the Lewis County Coroner's Office, and the personnel therein. But, for the good of Lewis County, I find myself making the decision to set aside any personal feelings about the coroner's office and try to help get the best person elected, one who is a professional in death investigations, and who will not make the mistakes that were made in Ronda's case.

Throughout the whole judicial review process, it had been discussed that my testimony in the trial was motivated by my desire to be coroner. Of course, that was false, but it didn't stop the whisper campaign against me. One of the reasons I chose not to run, was I am simply sick and tired of it.

The main fault of the current coroner's office is, in my opinion, lack of leadership and training. Mr. McLeod will fix that, I believe. And if not, there is always four years from now! :-)

I don't ask any Lewis County resident to support either candidate, but simply get to know them, talk with them, research their backgrounds and keep an open mind.

From Marty Hayes

Question: The previous poster was correct, I am not running for coroner again, and I am supporting Warren McLeod. In my discussions with him, I believe he will absolutely change the process on how death scenes are investigated by the coroner's office, and institute policies and procedures which would ensure that a case like Ronda's death will never cause the hurt it has caused Barb again. He is not a part of the Lewis County Coroner's office, although I understand that some of the employees there are supporting him. He is committed to training those deputies who remain after he is elected, and if they don't want to get with the program, "there's the door." (My words, not his).

At the time, the coroner's race is between a former federal agent, (Michael Hurley, who has NO death investigation experience that I know of) who is being promoted by law enforcement (can you say same o, same o) and Warren McLeod, who is an outside but with 10 years experience in death investigation.

Warren McLeod

Question: Isn't he now working for Wilson with the deputy coroner Carman Bruton? It looks like he is close to Carman. That don't look like someone who isn't part of the the good ole boy network. If elected he'll keep up business as usual and instead of Terry and Carman it'll be Warren and Carman. Carman still making the same screw ups except she'll probably being telling this guy what to do? Training him to replace Wilson. How long has Mcleod lived here? Why did Mcleod come to Lewis County anyway? Running from something?Don't look good to this Lewis County voter. And don't sound like someone Mr. Hayes would support. My condolences to you Ms. Tompson on your loss. A Mother is such special person in our lives. We want to keep them forever.

For Lewis County Residents

Question: This fall, a new coroner will be elected. Marty Hayes has chosen not to run for that position again. He is endorsing a Mr. Warren McLeod, a forensics professor and former deputy coroner from Las Vegas NV. In a recent announcement, Hayes indicated his support for McLeod, and urged the people who supported him in the last two elections to joining him in supporting McLeod. The good news, is that he is not from around Lewis County, and is not a member of the same good ol boy system which has been in place for decades.

About the Crime Scene

Question: I know Barb is dealing with the loss of her Mother but if you email her at her personal email

barbswash@aol.com

I know she will answer in depth any and all questions you have about the crime scene and photos to you personally. I do know that there was evidence under the fingernail but all the evidence was either given to her husband, Ron Reynolds or destsroyed early in the investigtion. Maybe in 1999 or at the latest 2002. There were also unexplained bruises. Ron Reynolds was an experienced person with firearms. I think the ammo was old -- not purchased recent to her death. The only quote "coroner" that examined Ronda's body was duputy Coroner Carmen Brunton and I understand she is just a hair dresser. The "coroner" Terry Wilson never inspected Ronda's body that I know of and the Medical Examiner that did the autopsy was Selove. The wound was right in front of her right ear and there was no exit wound. Both hands were under the blanket with Ronda's left hand clutching the blanket.

Ronda

Question: Sorry to hear of Ronda's grandmothers death, but now at least they are in heaven together.I'm wanting to know how many different coroners examined Ronda, where the entrance and exit wounds are, how many photo's there are of the death scene and how many are still available. How many autopsy photo's are available besides the ones posted as well as a photo of the gun.I noticed that one coroner stated that the wound was to her right forehead, yet somewhere else it is said that the wound was by her ear. When she was turned over, was she moved any and if so how.Was there any stippling into the wound. How much movement between photo B and F.Did they find the broken fingernail? Did they collect any material from under her fingernails? Who bought the ammunition and where was it stored.Had her husband ever fire this weapon, did he know how to use this pistol etc. I have so many other questions but will stop for now.I'm sure going over all this is painful each and every time. I will be reading Ann's book when it is out but my mind is reeling with questions. I'm using my work computer as I have none at home yet,so will watch for an answer.[From:Cynthe]9tqc3f

FROM BARB THOMPSON- MY BOOK

Question: I am not sure when I will get my book "Justice For Ronda" published but Ann Rule is writing Ronda's story and it should be out sometime around June, 2010 titled "IN THE STILL OF THE NIGHT". If I am able to get mine published at some time in the future we will post it here on this website. BARB THOMPSON

Barb's statement from Justice For Ronda Book

Question: ...I could get on with my life if Ronda had been killed in an accident. I could even have accepted suicide, if it truly was suicide. But having to deal every day with a police cover-up – reading and rereading the case file, finding investigative mistakes and reading the blatant lies that have been manufactured to conceal those blunders, keeps the wound of my loss open with no chance of healing. To live without closure is unbearable. To let a politically corrupt law enforcement agency lie, cover up, and disregard a human life to benefit their self-image is unacceptable. The Lewis County Sheriff's Department and all other law enforcement agencies in our country need to be held accountable for their actions, so that no other parent, ever, will have to experience this type of indescribable nightmare.

Question: It is very disturbing to think that Wilson can use any other cause of death except "homicide" with all of the extra investigative reports that were presented..and he had NOTHING to cross with. He is costing the county a lot of money by carrying this out in such a stubborn and arrogant manner. It is beyond my understanding why he does not say that the people found him WRONG!!!! and change it and get on with it. I know it would cause another investigation...but for the publics' sake...it should be reopened and the killer found and put to his or her consequences. We want justice...NOW GO GET IT!!

Correction to Haye's message

Question: Hicks said that he could not go so far as to specifiy how an elected official such as Wilson must use his descritionary decision making abilities, and this could not order him to change it to suicide. The statement should have read "and thus could not order him to change it to "HOMICIDE".

Today's Hearing

Question: Today, Judge Richard Hicks ordered Coroner Terry Wilson to change Ronda's death certificate, from something other than "suicide," signing a writ of mandate which compells Wilson to make the change within 10 days, and provide the court proof of such change. Hicks did not go so far as to mandate a change to "homicide." Hicks said that he could not go so far as to specifiy how an elected official such as Wilson must use his descritionary decision making abilities, and this could not order him to change it to suicide. But, it was discussed in open court by Barb's attorney, Royce Ferguson, that a re-determination of "undetermined" would simply result in starting the judicial review provisions all over again. Both the Seattle Times and the Centralia Chronicle reporters were there in court today. Barb was not able to attend because of her surgery.

determination

Question: We are praying that the Judge will look at all of the evidence that has been presented, and will be able to see clearly that this is a homicide, and rule that the certificate must say HOMICIDE. It was not an accident, not a suicide, not "undetermined" and certainly not natural...so that leaves homicide. And it should be called exactly what it is!
So, we are hanging in there for you, Barb.

Ronda Reynolds

Question: Terry Wilson is in what is called the "good ole boys club of lewis county".
They scratch each others backs when need be. Meaning when the sheriff's office screwed up the investigation, Terry then was called upon to fix it and this goes vice versa. Isn't it good to have all the right players in place when you need a favor. Believe me when I tell you that club is very real.

Wilson's motive?

Question: The real question is, has Terry Wilson been paid off or has be been blackmailed? It's got to be one or the other.

reynolds family

Question: Sorry, the Reynolds family deserves no peace. One of them killed Ronda. Even if the sheriff won't do anything the public opinion has, will and is. None of the Reynolds have stood before a judge, but they are all standing in front of their community for judgement and will definitely have to stand before God. I would much rather be Ronda's Mom walking down the street in Lewis County than Ron Reynolds or any of his sons. And there is no doubt in my mind that Ronda's Mom will stand strong and without fear before God. Sure can't say that for any of the Reynolds family. So say all you want about the poor reynolds family -- it won't change their judgement day before their maker.
