Just trying to help you understand

Question: Sheriff's detectives interviewed Bonnie at length. Here is part of their report:

"Bonnie...found her step-dad downstairs tying his boots. She stated that what stands out in her memory was her conversation with her step-dad that morning. He told her he was leaving and wouldn't be coming back. She asked if he was going to write or visit and he said no, you'll see me in your dreams. Bonnie said that she believes that Thomas Stump killed himself. She said if he was alive, he would have kept in touch with them...
We asked Bonnie if anyone coached her or told her what to say to the investigators, prior to interviewing her. She said no...."

Eye witness

Question: Tom's statements to bonnie:

1. " you will never see me again "

2. " You will only see me in your dreams"

Spoken to bonnie just moments before he left never to be seen again, Absolutely, without question, no room for error, definitively, positively show that Tom knew of his disappearance before it happened.

This ends all intelligent thought of murder. He tells Bonnie - I am about to disappear and you will never see me again and then walks away forever. He could only know of his pending suicide or relocation. Having threatened suicide to Bernie (polygraphed) just hours before -- rational, sane people realize that murder can"t be a possibility here. It is utterely incomprehensible.

Thoughts.

Question: One of the posters keeps referring to the Becker's moving on. Let us all be reminded that at the time of the disappearance there was no Becker family. It was the Stump family. Because today they are the Becker's you still want to make them Becker's back then. This is incorrect they were the Stump/Ripin family at the time and until Bernie had all their names changed (except for Bonnie refusing to do so) they were Stump's.

Until they became Becker's they were trying to cope as the Stump family.

Really?

Question: Then why didn't Rose and her lawyers attend the hearing and protest the judge's ruling, or file an appeal?

(Answer: Because they have absolutely nothing to go on. Nothing.)

Tom is guilty you are right.

Question: Tom is guilty. He is guilty of taking in someone that he loved. Taking care of her daughter (regardless of the father) loving her and providing for her even in death (75,000). He then is guilty of taking Bernie back after a 6 week affair with Bill Becker and continuing to love her and her daughter and taking care of them. He is guilty of wanting his own child and giving one to Bernie (with some help). He is certainly guilty of loving his daughter and keeping her in a good life and providing for her then and in death (75,000). He is guilty of smoking pot. And so was Bernie for using cocaine. Tom was guilty of "trying to keep his family together" and not wanting Bernie to keep seeing Bill Becker. He was so guilty of being angry when she continued to see and speak to Bill behind his back.

There is no evidence of a suicide Mr. or Mrs. poster. None at all. There wasn't a body or even a scent of a body going into the woods.

You ask why?

Question: Given the three possibilities, why WOULD the judge declare Tom Stump dead by suicide?

Let's consider what she considered:

1) Evidence of Suicide
-testimony of 3 eyewitnesses
-detectives' reports
-polygraphs
-Tom's statements
-lack of any indication of foul play
-indications that Tom Stump knew how to hide a body

2) Evidence for Murder
-none

3) Evidence for Relocation
-none

Guilty

Question: Tom Stump is guilty of abandoning his family in a self-absorbed tantrum when he could not get his own way.

Tom is guilty of hiding his own body to prevent his family from moving on.

The Stump family is guilty of maintaining this slimey message board, attracting all manner of miscreants with sinister motives that have nothing to do with Tom.

Bernie is guilty of wanting a better life for her family, free of guns, drugs and fear.

The Beckers are guilty of picking up the pieces and making a better life for themselves.

PLEASE!

Question: Can someone show me some evidence that a crime has been committed?

Is there ANY indication of foul play?

Did any of the witnesses testify that Tom did anything but walk away of his own free will? Anything at all?

Question: The previous post does not make it true.

Time to get real

Question: Nearly fourteen years later and there is absolutely no proof, no evidence and no indication that a crime has been committed.

There is NO indication that Tom did anything except walk away OF HIS OWN FREE WILL. Three witnesses have testified to that fact.

The Beckers have passed polygraphs, answered all the PERTINENT questions, and have been cleared of ALL suspicion by the investigative agencies.

There ARE indications that Tom was unbalanced enough to have taken his own life. (The guns, the drugs, the anti-social behavior)

Tom once described how he would hide a body (his own or someone else's) so it would not be found.

afraid?

Question: Now here was Stump, a gun collecting anti government sort and Becker wasn't afraid of him? That's because when he settled into the Stump "nest" he knew Stump was no more.

No trace of a body behind the house in the woods.

Question: Bills' spin on Tom's life, and disappearance was that he believed that Tom faked his disappearance. So for months Bernie was telling him he did kill himself and he didn't believe her until he found money in Tom's work room downstairs that Tom had stashed? What did they do with that money? Split it with the two children?

Faked his disappearance for what reason?
Did Bill think that because there was no sign of a body?
No gun shot?
No trace by the dog to the woods?
Thoughts of another area that Tom could have been? Did Bernie take Bill on that road too?
Because he couldn't find anything in the waters from the sky?
Why was Bill not one of the searchers each one of those days?
Isn't he off on the weekends?
He could have helped search then why didn't he?
Why did he wait to search alone?
Why didn't Bernie hire him to sit in the woods for weeks?
Did all the searchers know about the "relationship between Bernie and Bill at the time of the disappearance of Tom Stump" or was that a hidden fact? If so why?
Did anyone ask why he wasn't searching when he was showing up each day?

Asked on Monday, March 09, 2009 at 07:19:30 PM

Yes? No? Yes? No? Maybe? No? Yes? ??

Question: He searched for months and then he found 400 dollars and knew that Tom killed himself for sure. What an idiot. Saying he then knew then that it wasn't a made to look like suicide. Gee, did Bernie believe him for months that he thought Tom faked his disappearance too? Yes? No?

Asked on Monday, March 09, 2009 at 04:43:34 PM

He alone looked for months? ha

Question: He alone looked for months? Really? I thought you people said that he would have been done real soon with all the fish etc? Now months' he would have still be visible? So he really didn't go in the air is what you're really saying. (now)

I want to know why a cadaver dog wasn't brought in to search for Tom's body. They can search over water and then he would have been found for sure. (if indeed he was there)
