Excerpt from 1992 report by Detective Ernest Wilson, Rio Rancho Department of Public Safety:

At one time Douglas J. Van Roosenbeek was the prime suspect in both (of these sexual assault) cases. I do not know why he was released as a suspect, nor do I know what happened to the evidence that was submitted by Detective Chinigo to the State Crime Lab and was returned to him at RRDPS in August 1989.
