Excerpt from private investigator’s interview with Dag’s sister, June 12, 2006:

P.I.: Do you think James pushed your brother back out into the fast water on purpose?

Dag’s sister:   It is a possibility. (inaudible) being caught in a current.

P.I.: And why do you think that?

Dag’s sister:   I don’t think my mom would lie about that and I just don’t understand if he was in calm water and he was that close to shore why did he end up back out in the rapids.

P.I.:            Okay.

Dag’s sister:   It doesn’t make sense and the only logical reason is that he was really high and he didn’t know what the hell he was doing or he was doing it on purpose.

P.I.:            Was James high that day?

Dag’s sister:   Yes, he was.

P.I.:           And he had been smoking marijuana that day?

Dag’s sister: Yes, he had been ....

P.I.:            About how much had James smoked that day, do you know?

Dag’s sister:   I don’t know because he walked off in the bushes .... You know the weird thing is that his mother works at victim witness.

P.I.: Right.
